PDV picked up two awards in the mail performance category at The Strategic Mailing Partnership (SMP) Awards in London on 15 October 2026: gold alongside Precision Proco and silver alongside Marketreach.
The mail performance award recognises campaigns that go beyond client expectations, so winning twice in one night, against strong competition, is something the whole team is proud of.

Gold: Vintage Cash Cow/Vintage.com, with Precision Proco
Led by Precision Proco, with PDV providing data analysis, audience segmentation and lookalike modelling behind the campaign’s new customer acquisition objective, PDV profiled the highest-value customers of Vintage Cash Cow (since rebranded as Vintage.com) to build a lookalike model, identifying 70,000 brand-new prospects nationally. That audience generated an average box value of £417, more than three times the £125 average from the business’s existing approach, and a dedicated control group proved direct mail’s incremental contribution alongside TV, lifting response rate by 30%.

Silver: Scrivens Opticians and Hearing Care, with Marketreach
Led by PDV, with creative support from Marketreach, a five-branch lookalike mail test helped Scrivens achieve a cost of £25 per appointment against a £100 target. Matched-address analysis then revealed a household effect that took the total return to £2.92 for every £1 invested, with 49% of that return coming from people who never received a letter themselves.

Built from everyone
Both award-winning campaigns stemmed from using everyone*, PDV’s consumer database access to 40m+ consumers, used to profile customers, build lookalike models and find the right audiences to target. Winning gold and silver awards is a strong endorsement of what the team has built.
“These awards don’t happen by accident. They reflect the work that goes into every stage of a campaign, from understanding what the client needs, to building the plan, to selecting the right audiences and delivering the results. This was a real team effort, from the people who developed everyone, to those who planned and delivered the campaigns, and wrote the award entries. Winning gold and silver on the same night, with two different partners, tells our clients and prospects the standard they can expect when they work with us.”
