PDV would be lost without our super-talented analysts, so today I’m catching up with one of them to find out more. Ting Zhang told me all about her day…

Pre-morning

On an office day, I’m getting ready for work after the alarm goes off, have breakfast if still have time, then drive to work.

First Half Hour

Make a nice cup of tea, then check emails to catch up on any new count requests and ongoing orders.

Morning

My morning started by checking my calendar to see what’s been scheduled for the day,

Liaising with accounts team/ sales team for specific order requirements and communicating within own production team and outsourced team.

Lunch

I always like some fresh air outside our office building, a sunny day always cheers me up.

Checking news to see what’s happening In the world, I spent more time on the business and tech section and Interesting to see AI Is replacing (or going to replace )Google.

Afternoon

Provide counts using Faststats and SQL.

Collecting data from various sources, Formatting, and cleaning data.

Output consumer data under current compliance regulations.

Finalise any orders and quality check.

Update ongoing Counts/Orders/Issues on Jira.

Working with the head of data to Improve system performance.

Learning more complex queries.

Overall, a day in the life of a data analyst can be fast-paced and involve working on multiple projects simultaneously.

After work

I am Interested In fitness and well-being, like Pilates and running. Also like music, fashion and trend. Love learning new things, beginner-level piano playing, ski.

If I wasn’t an analyst for PDV then I’d definitely want to be a pilot ✈️
